Ink Your Way to Insight

Journaling for Creativity, Self-Discovery, and Problem-Solving using your non-dominant hand.

About me:

I am a trained clinical psychologist and a certified end of life doula with more than 20 years of combined experience working in corrections and hospice.

What I know is circumstances like being incarcerated and facing death are challenges that can temporarily impact people’s mental health but relief does not necessarily require a psychiatric diagnosis and/or medication. In many cases,  supportive listening and education that includes tools for self care quickly ameliorate the situation.

About Us:

The uncertainty that surrounded the pandemic had a impact on us all. We found ourselves in a situation that seemed worse then being incarcerated or being on hospice. Inmates know how long their sentence is and death is certain for a hospice patient.  We felt as if there was no end in sight. It was if the horizon and hope had disappeared.

We were all so alone together and our collective mental health was overwhelmed.

Now we:

Return, revise, rethink.
